Modena TL has an immediate need for a diesel mechanic in our Indianapolis, IN location.

Part-Time, Monday – Friday, Various shifts.

*As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
Use hand tools and diagnostics equipment to perform accurate troubleshooting
Assemble, disassemble, and reassemble engine components as needed
Perform tire service, including rotation, balancing, and alignment
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns and answering questions
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostics equipment
Familiarity with tractor-trailers and heavy equipment is preferred
HVAC certification is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with others

Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
